Meet Artist Chris D'Antonio

Chris D’Antonio is a Philadelphia based painter who weaves monochromatic green and earthy brown tones throughout his landscapes. 

This collection, painted over the last two years, is based in rural and wooded scenes with an emphasis on nature. His paintings show nature’s contrasting moods from distant stormy weather to sunny scenes that create harsh shadows to the soft light of dusk.

“Landscapes” is comprised of studio and plein air paintings; being able to see the distinction between the ability to finalize a painting in the studio versus the quick gestural brushstrokes of painting outdoors.
